Each of our Bitesize workshops follow a similar format with a blend of theoretical study and practical application of techniques. We begin by reviewing the bones and joints, discussing the ligaments that support it and the muscles that control it. We look at the injuries frequently experienced by these structures and what can cause them. You will then have the opportunity to spend time reviewing and practicing assessment procedures, discussing case studies and designing and implementing a variety of progressive rehabilitation programmes that can include treatments, lifestyle advice and exercises.
Become confident in your abilities, brush up on your knowledge and keep up with the latest industry practices for clinical assessment and rehab.
Supporting materials:
Handouts on key areas will be supplied throughout the day.
A FREE DVD of how to perform the postural assessment, range of motion and special test will be supplied to help remind you of all the elements involved in assessing a patient/client.
The day itself:
Arrive at LifeCare Health Clinic. We start at 0900 with refreshment breaks during the morning and afternoon, and 45 minutes for lunch (lunch not included), finishing at 1600.
(Assessment: On-going, informal assessment (for practical skills).)
You will receive an LCH attendance certificate on leaving.
